Can she discover who she really is before she loses everyone?A heartwarming friends-to-lovers queer romance about coming out and finding yourself along the way. Perfect for fans of She Gets the Girl and Simon vs. the Homo Sapiens Agenda.Available now!
"A heartwarming story, bursting with queer joy, which explores the beauty of finding yourself and your people. Tart tackles big themes with real heart, which is sure to resonate with YA readers in this knockout debut."
"Bold, unapologetic and often laced with sweetness, Tart deftly explores self-acceptance and the pressures of being a teenager in the 21st century. I dare you not to fall in love with Libby and her journey!"
"Becki Jayne Crossley is the British Becky Albertalli. I absolutely adored Tart, a truly unputdownable YA novel with all the drama and chaos of teenage life blended seamlessly with small-town-queerness."
"An explosive, twisting, thrilling, witty and fresh story full of heart."
"Becki Jayne Crossley does an incredible job of tackling the heavy issue of bullying (both online and in-person), while still managing to centre queer joy and the beauty of being unashamedly yourself."
"Probably the best queer book I've ever read."
"A beautifully woven story and I will definitely be reading again!"
Becki Jayne Crossley has had a book in her hands since before she could actually read, and since mastering the art of holding a pencil they've been writing down stories. As a bisexual author, Becki is passionate about queer YA stories that portray the realities of coming out and discovering your sexuality - especially considering the lack of stories they had like this while growing up.When not writing, Becki can be found reading at her favourite coffee shops around Nottingham, playing computers games badly, and occasionally painting things with questionable skill.Becki is represented by Saffron Dodd at ASH Literary.
